Low-noise Cage Control Valve HCN
I. Introduction:
The HCN low-noise cage control valve is part of the CV3000 series of control valves, primarily designed to reduce noise from compressible fluids. To accommodate gas throttling, diffusion, and expansion, the sleeve is equipped with numerous symmetric small holes to reduce pressure. The fluid channel has a streamlined S-shape, and a flow-directing vane is also installed to improve the smooth flow of fluid around the sleeve. As a result, the control valve features small pressure loss, large flow rate, and low noise. The valve plug adopts a pressure-balanced structure, and the control valve is matched with a multi-spring diaphragm actuator, which has a compact structure and large output force. It can reduce noise from compressible fluids. To accommodate gas throttling, diffusion, and expansion, the sleeve is equipped with numerous symmetric small holes to reduce pressure drop. The valve plug adopts a pressure-balanced structure. The fluid channel has a streamlined S-shape, and a flow-directing vane is also installed to improve the balanced flow of fluid around the sleeve, resulting in small pressure drop loss, large flow rate, and low noise.
II. Performance:
Leakage: Metal seat: Less than 0.01% of the valve's rated capacity, conforming to ANSI B16.104-1976 Class IV
Hysteresis: With positioner: Less than 1% of full stroke,
Without positioner: Less than 3% of full stroke (Model LHA1: Less than 5% of full stroke)
Basic error: With positioner: Less than ±1% of full stroke,
Without positioner: Less than ±5% of full stroke
Note: Standard V-shaped PTFE packing is used
Rangeability: 50:1 (0.25≤Cv≤14) or 30:1 (CV≤0.16)
